MORE ABOUT ME
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Sunway University, Lin Jia worked for 2.5 years delivering Applied Behaviour Analysis to children with special needs. Seeing the impact of mental healthcare on the quality of life of families drove her to further pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Lin Jia continued working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presentations, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, and relationship issues. During the course of her professional training, Lin Jia carried out community mental health workshops targeting emotional regulation for children and parents and collaborated with the Women’s Aid Organization in supporting victims of domestic violence.

Quoting Daisaku Ikeda, “It would be pointless for a plum blossom to try to remake itself as a cherry blossom, no matter how deeply the plum yearns to do so. The plum is happiest when it blooms as itself in full glory. How much of the colour and wonder of life would be lost if it weren’t for our differences”. Just as how each person brings their own individuality and uniqueness to the world, Lin Jia strives to provide a warm and supportive therapeutic environment to suit the unique needs of her clients.
